Our Purpose

Grosvenor Press was founded to address the need for thoughtfully produced, high-quality art catalogues that serve as lasting records of artistic practice. We believe that artists deserve publications that honour their work with the same care and attention to detail that they bring to their art.

Each catalogue we produce is designed to complement and extend the experience of the artwork itself, providing context, documentation, and critical reflection that enriches understanding and appreciation.

Michelle Hiscock - Founder & Publisher

Grosvenor Press was established by Michelle Hiscock, a practicing artist whose understanding of artistic process and exhibition brings an informed perspective to the publishing process.

Michelle Hiscock is an Australian artist whose practice centers on landscape painting and the representation of place. Her work has been exhibited widely and is held in private collections. Through her sustained engagement with the landscape tradition and her experience in mounting exhibitions, she developed an appreciation for the role of well-produced catalogues in documenting and contextualizing artistic work.

Drawing on her dual perspective as both artist and publisher, Michelle brings a nuanced understanding of what makes an effective art catalogue - one that respects the artwork, provides meaningful context, and creates a publication of lasting value.

Our Team

Grosvenor Press brings together a team of experienced professionals committed to producing exceptional art catalogues. Each member contributes specialized expertise to ensure the highest standards in all aspects of our publications.

Our Approach

We work collaboratively with artists to develop publications that authentically represent their practice. From initial concept through to final production, we maintain close communication to ensure that every aspect of the catalogue - from image reproduction and layout to essay content and material quality - meets the highest standards.

Our publications are characterised by:

  • Careful attention to image quality and colour reproduction
  • Thoughtful design that complements the artwork
  • Contextual essays that illuminate the artist's practice
  • Quality materials and production values
  • Respect for the artist's vision throughout the process

Working with Grosvenor Press

We are currently accepting proposals for future publications. If you are an artist or curator interested in developing a catalogue project, we would be pleased to discuss how we might work together.
